This Was All Just in My Mind - The Garden That Never Existed
It’s been a long time since I wanted to have a personal website to share my thoughts and notes. Recently, I discovered that sharing my thoughts actually helps me take them more seriously. Finally, this website is up and running, and I have a place to do that.
Lately, I’ve realized that I spend too much time living in my mind. What does that mean? I have a ton of ideas that seem cool to me, but they rarely get executed.
Let me explain this “living in the mind” with an example. Imagine you decide to build a small garden in your backyard. You pick some plants and flowers and start planting them. But after a few days, you stop taking care of them. After a couple of months, everything is wilted. You feel disappointed and even think you’re bad at taking care of plants.
But here’s the twist: none of this actually happened. There was no garden. No plants. No real effort. It all existed only in your mind. So in reality, you don’t have a garden—and you also don’t have any real experience taking care of one.
That’s what I mean by “living in the mind.”
I realized I was doing the same thing with this website. It existed in my head, where no one was reading it—and I was somehow already disappointed.
So now, I’m taking it out of my mind and putting it into the real world… and I’m ready to face the real sadness of having no readers :))
